Frequently asked questions about our refills

How do I use the refills?

1) Chill the refill in the refrigerator for one hour before unpacking.

2) Then squeeze the new candle out of the compostable cup and place it in your cleaned jar.

3) Let your candle burn for the first time until the entire surface is liquid.

What else do I need to look out for with refills?

Only use warm water, soap and a soft cloth to clean the candle jar.

Only light the refill candle in the original 250g candle jar from Looops. The refill candle is perfectly matched to this jar. It fits in seamlessly. And that is exactly what is needed for it to burn just as beautifully and evenly.

Never light the candle directly in the refill cup (fire hazard!).

How long is the burn time of the refills?

Like the large candles, the refills burn for around 55 hours. We want you to enjoy them for a long time. That's why we have summarized our candle care tips here. Please follow these tips. So that your scented candle burns and smells really evenly from start to finish. And you help to prevent soot from forming and at the same time ensure that your scented candle lasts a long time.

How long should I let the refills burn in one go?

Always leave the refills - like the large scented candles - to burn for at least three hours. If you give your candle this time, the entire surface will become liquid and you will prevent a wax tunnel from forming around the wick. This allows the candle to burn evenly every time it is lit and give off its soothing fragrance.

What is bagasse?

Bagasse is a by-product of the sugar cane industry. The material of the Looops Refill packaging is 100% compostable and is therefore also ideal for use as a plant pot for herbs or flowers.
